Planting and Growing A Garden of Light

Planting and Growing A Garden of Light

It is the sum total of all of Humanity’s actions and thoughts that brings into being, whatsoever light or darkness there is. Thus the maximum Harmony and Beauty that the Earth Plane receives depends on each one of us.

We are not expected to individually create the peace on Earth. Rather each of us is continuously asked and offered the possibility of keeping our own garden filled with Harmony, and daily watered with Love and Beauty.

Everyone has a garden under their care and responsibility. Some have large gardens, and others are small. The size of one’s garden represents each one’s capacity and limitations.

Our personal garden consists of  every step that we take, and every thought that we make from the moment we open our eyes until we open them again the next morning.  And, just as we appreciate walking by a beautiful garden, and recognize those that have been left unattended or are filled with weeds and trash,  we mostly fail to notice our responsibility – to fill our ‘garden’ with  light through diligently working to bring Love-Light to each one we meet throughout our days.

If we  find our days filled with darkness and gloom, we can begin each day with a promise to plant seeds of happiness, by offering our smiles, warm words, and acts of caring, to those we find in our garden each day.

If stubborn weeds have grown, prayer and apologies cleanse and refresh the ground of our consciousness — and the hearts of our family and friends. In this way even the most overgrown and neglected gardens become places where children and adults like to visit and take rest, and one by one the world will be graced with beauty.

The Only Source

THE ONLY SOURCE
Human Beings live and move and breathe with-in the Ever-Present.

There is no way that anyone can be separated from the One Source of Life —

Through our eyes,
our noses and mouths,

through our ears—
and the pores of our skin,

all that enters ‘us’ emerges again—
returns to the One Life— the All-in-All:

The plants, the animals, our friends and our food,
the sunlight and the air,
have the same Life-Essence flowing through them
as flows through our own being.

For we are all a part of one Living-Breathing heritage—
Birthed and nourished, growing and aging,

and then returning to the Earth, and the Ethers:
Physical to physical; Spirit to Spirit.

And all of these states exist simultaneously, with-in
the One-Love-Light-One-Life-Source, of the Universe.

Given to All Paths, All Ways

Given to All Paths All Ways

Throughout all epochs all spheres,
looking with the eyes of now
at the ending of our current era

those who can See and Hear,
and understand,

will not fail to bow down
to the Creator of All

as we peer into the Mirror of the Ages,
and grasp the enormity of the One Divine Message,

that forever has been given to each nation,
throughout all lands and times.

Before advancement of communication
a Message yet arrived, through Messengers
that looked like their people,

in the language of each society,
with images familiar to all.

It is a simple Message, of Love and of Truth
that all were asked to follow—

Love one another.
Do unto others as you would have
Others do unto you.

Do Justice.
Respect and care for the Earth.

And daily give thanks, to the Creator of All.

One Message that echoes in all hearts;
One code of honor, given to all.

May the Divine Message of Love and Harmony
lead our Spirits and hearts to unite in peace.

And may we awaken and follow this Call,
from the Creator of All.

When Our Large Head Takes A Back Seat

When Our Large Head Takes A Back Seat

When we ‘stand our ground’, we most often do so with our large, intellectual head firmly fixed upon our shoulders.

We have all seen such large heads: Some of them are so grandiose, that they cannot even fit inside a big room! When next you see such a big head, take a look at the rest of the body. You will notice a certain posture that matches the big head. The reason for this posture is – that it takes quite a lot of bravado and energy to support all of the weight at the top! And, even though we may not like to admit it, we can feel–and we have known–moments when our own head is expanding–being fed and grown by the rising heat of our egos–that speaks in a loud and clear voice: “I know I am the best (in this room, place, moment.)”

Yet we all know more tender, Heart-full moments, in which we have surrendered our truth, and have chosen to follow a sweeter thought encouraging us to strive to bring forth harmony with our companions.

This choice to yield does not mean that we are to lose our Ideals, on the contrary, it only means relinquishing the ground that one has been claiming to be—THE ONLY possibility—for any certain moment and time.

And this thought of harmony places our own swelling head in the back seat, while our heart makes the journey—toward the front ground of the other. Looking in this Way, we can easily come to see, that under-standing is a choice—first thought, then willed, and then chosen—each moment—by a listening, Compassionate Heart, dedicated to peace.

Mahasamadhi Paramahansa Yogananda, March 5th

PARAMAHANSA YOGANANDA

“The season of failure is the best time for sowing the seeds of success.

“It is not your passing thoughts or brilliant ideas so much as your plain everyday habits that control your life….Live simply. Don’t get caught in the machine of the world— it is too exacting. By the time you get what you are seeking your nerves are gone, the heart is damaged, and the bones are aching. Resolve to develop your spiritual powers more earnestly from now on. Learn the art of right living. If you have joy you have everything,so learn to be glad and contented….Have happiness now.”
― Paramahansa Yogananda

Born: January 5, 1893, Gorakhpur, India, Died: March 7, 1952, Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA
His Beloved Master, Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri sent him to the United States to bring Kriya Yoga to the west. He has two main Self Realization Centers in the U.S., one in Encinitas, Ca., and one in Los Angelos, and many other centers throughout the US and the world.
MAHASAMADHI — Leaving the body as a Realized Being, and entering into the Divine Realm

March 7th is Paramahansa Yogananda’s Mahasamadhi. When he was in Encinitas, Ca. at his beautiful Self Realization Fellowship, he gently let his disciples know that he would soon leave his body. They were so sad! And so Yogananda wrote this poem for them.

When I Take the Vow Of Silence
By Paramahansa Yogananda

When I take the vow of silence
To remain enlocked with my Beloved
In the arms of His everywhereness
I shall be busy listening to His symphony
Of creation’s bliss songs, and beholding hidden
Wondrous visions.
Yet I shall not be oblivious of you all.
I shall mutely watch you
Walking o’er me in the fresh grass-blades
And seeing me in my living leafy presences.
I shall behold you with mothering tenderness
Through every crimson blossom
That wears a blush of love to bring you delight.
I shall caress you with the enfolding breeze
To relieve you worries and fears;
And enwrap you in sun warmth
When the chill of delusive loneliness strays into your heart.
When you gaze at the ocean
You will be looking right at me.
United with my Beloved on the altar of the horizon,
Sky-canopied with silver rays o’er the azure wavy hazy
sanctuary.
I shall not speak except through your reason,
Nor scold except through your conscience.
I shall persuade only through your love
And your heart’s longing to see the Beloved only.
I shall tempt you-but with the sole temptation
To enjoy the Beloved’s love alone.
Forget me if you will, but not my Beloved!
Remembering Him you cannot forget me.

It is a Garden of Paradise right here on Earth. And if you stay for one of the Services, the chanting will elevate your heart and Spirit. The Center in Los Angelos is also very lovely.  Yogananda is beloved throughout the world. If you want to begin to know him, you can read his Autobiography of a Yogi. There are many other of his writings on presence and Divine Love on his website below. He is buried in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Glendale, CA — Web Source

The Hunger That Cannot Be Pushed Aside

The Hunger That Cannot Be Pushed Aside

There is a deep, Inner longing constantly dancing with-in each Soul. This longing urges each one to rise, ever upwards, beyond their current abilities. It exists as an under-current, operating ceaselessly in all that we do. This longing has been called, “the hunger that cannot be pushed aside, the thirst which cannot be quenched.”

It is this longing which causes each one to stretch to attain their utmost possibilities, glimmering and shimmering in the mists, upon the horizon of one’s life. It causes one to seek to become the greatest of musicians, and another to seek to become the best farmer, or the best parent they can be. Yet where do these longings come from?

The desire for each one to reach their zenith comes directly from the Inner One, the All-in-All, the Loving One. This is the Voice of the All Knowing, who Guides all Souls to create the dance of their life time—with-in Beauty and Love. This Inner Essence of Life is identical to the Desire residing with-in each seed: Planted deeply in the ground, the Spark of Life awakens and leads each seed to cast off it’s shell—and struggle ever upward, around or through all obstacles it encounters. And, though it has never seen the Light, yet each seed is drawn ever upwards, for no other purpose than it may one day emerge from darkness—and become its absolute, Beauty-filled fullness.

Seen underneath this Wisdom-Light, one may understand, that the whole of humanity, and the whole of the universe, is moving and breathing together, upon the Great Ocean of Life—rising and falling with-in the unseen currents; Ever striving to satisfy, and to bring to life, the highest desires of the Eternal One.

The Grand Mandala Lives

The Grand Mandala Lives

In the Inner-most Sanctum of the Universe, the The Grand Mandala Lives.

It has been said that those who align with their holy path during their lifetime are blessed. Each of these sacred religious and spiritual ways have been likened to one of the many luminous, light-filled rays, that surround and create the Divine Universal Mandala of Holy Light, emanating from the Eternal One.

The energetic rhythms of millions of Souls rejoice as they journey amongst their chosen Ray. And, through their Songs of Life, each Soul carries and maintains a portion of the Wisdom and Truth, that has been Divinely placed, within that particular Holy Stream.

These Divine Rays of Love-Light are established through the Great Work of the Messengers of the Most High. Each of the Messengers, Prophets and Saints, throughout the eras, are sent not only to create, but to maintain these living streams, filling them with the currents of Compassion and Love that will permeate, and weave the seen and unseen Realms, and allow the manifestation all things.

And the Grand and Eternal Wheel of Life, in the center of the Highest Realm, has mysteriously, and All-Ways brought into being — the never beginning, never ending, Glory-Full Reality of the Universe.
