Given to All Paths, All Ways

Given to All Paths All Ways

Throughout all epochs all spheres,
looking with the eyes of now
at the ending of our current era

those who can See and Hear,
and understand,

will not fail to bow down
to the Creator of All

as we peer into the Mirror of the Ages,
and grasp the enormity of the One Divine Message,

that forever has been given to each nation,
throughout all lands and times.

Before advancement of communication
a Message yet arrived, through Messengers
that looked like their people,

in the language of each society,
with images familiar to all.

It is a simple Message, of Love and of Truth
that all were asked to follow—

Love one another.
Do unto others as you would have
Others do unto you.

Do Justice.
Respect and care for the Earth.

And daily give thanks, to the Creator of All.

One Message that echoes in all hearts;
One code of honor, given to all.

May the Divine Message of Love and Harmony
lead our Spirits and hearts to unite in peace.

And may we awaken and follow this Call,
from the Creator of All.

Awakening

Awakening

A Prayer

Help us and Guide us to undo
the harm we have caused the Earth, and Her Beings,
throughout our thoughtless, careless youth.

There is a vast difference in the viewpoint and actions of those who believe that the Most High is Ever Present in their daily lives, and those to whom the Divine remains a distant concept, existing somewhere far beyond this life, if He or She exists at all.

The constant realization of the Creator of All as a Living Presence throughout our days, encouraged the ancient peoples to hold in reverence the whole of the Earth, and to carefully examine each word, thought and action.

In this Blessing Way of Remembrance, throughout their days and nights, ancient ones consciously experienced in wonderment, the inexpressible beauty, exquisite tenderness, and awesome power of Nature.

Comparing this profound level of Being, with that of our modern society, we can easily see the reason behind the thoughtless acts of destruction and harm, so casually inflicted on a daily basis to the Natural World:

The vibrations of our ancestors’ Beings moved in peaceful attunement with the world of Nature.

Seeking harmony with the Sacred, Hallowed Earth, they consciously breathed the sweetness of rain-freshened air,
and gratefully drank Her living waters, while frequently pausing to pray to live, as a respectful guest.

When Our Large Head Takes A Back Seat

When Our Large Head Takes A Back Seat

When we ‘stand our ground’, we most often do so with our large, intellectual head firmly fixed upon our shoulders.

We have all seen such large heads: Some of them are so grandiose, that they cannot even fit inside a big room! When next you see such a big head, take a look at the rest of the body. You will notice a certain posture that matches the big head. The reason for this posture is – that it takes quite a lot of bravado and energy to support all of the weight at the top! And, even though we may not like to admit it, we can feel–and we have known–moments when our own head is expanding–being fed and grown by the rising heat of our egos–that speaks in a loud and clear voice: “I know I am the best (in this room, place, moment.)”

Yet we all know more tender, Heart-full moments, in which we have surrendered our truth, and have chosen to follow a sweeter thought encouraging us to strive to bring forth harmony with our companions.

This choice to yield does not mean that we are to lose our Ideals, on the contrary, it only means relinquishing the ground that one has been claiming to be—THE ONLY possibility—for any certain moment and time.

And this thought of harmony places our own swelling head in the back seat, while our heart makes the journey—toward the front ground of the other. Looking in this Way, we can easily come to see, that under-standing is a choice—first thought, then willed, and then chosen—each moment—by a listening, Compassionate Heart, dedicated to peace.

When the Heart Becomes Open In Prayer

When the Heart Becomes Open In Prayer

All prayers which are heart-filled, emerge and arrive on wings of Light, into the Holy Realms, and the Ears of the Most High.

During unobstructed Prayer-Union,
with-in the Supreme dimension of Love and Light,

Divine Blessings are showered
upon the pure of heart.

Yet the moment one’s mind,
responding from a limited perspective
and filled with worldly knowledge,

begins to analyze the gift…

the translucent, shimmering state
of Holiness disappears—

retracts behind the vibrational curtain
of the physical reality,

that forever separates this Earthly Realm,
from the Eternal Garden
of Beauty, Truth, and Love.

The Healing Balm of Love

The Healing Balm of Love
According to the ancient Wisdom tradition of the Japanese and Chinese Five Element Theory, Joy and Love are the positive qualities of the Heart, while sorrow and bitterness are it’s negative aspects. For the Sage this is most valuable knowledge, as one seeks to help and to soften, to warm and to melt, the frozen coverings that have formed over the tender fabric of the Heart.

Depending on the severity of one’s life experiences, the delicate fabric that surrounds our heart becomes injured. In some cases this damage can be intuited by a Healer to be delicate scars that mar the surface, but leave the heart still soft and supple. These tiny scars are much like the ones we carry on our physical bodies after small injuries. They serve as reminders of the injury, yet they mostly do not impede our functioning in the world. In other cases, larger scars arise from deeper woundings, yet still one’s heart remains open to Love and trust.

However there are some life experiences so deep and ongoing, that they cause the tender heart to become surrounded with a thick covering, similar to a callous that forms upon ones hand or foot. This thick covering is created by a strong need, to keep one’s Innermost Being ‘safe’, impenetrable from further harm.

A calloused Heart is thus defended against both real and perceived attacks, by a storehouse of bitterness and anger, which serve to keep others at a safe distance. And yet, the calloused heart also keeps beauty and love from being fully experienced, because one’s tenderness and softness of heart lie buried somewhere deep within. Thus one exists alone with one’s pain.

Yet, just as in fairy tales, someone often arrives to help, in the form of a Lover or Friend who has just the perfect salve for healing a wounded Heart. This most delicious remedy is of course nothing by love, which leads to a gradual softening and healing of the subtle and deep lines and scars.

This miracle salve works by causing a bubbling forth of outbursts of Joy, as the tender and repeated applications of love are carefully applied, by one who has been especially Chosen, for the task at Hand.

Mahasamadhi Paramahansa Yogananda, March 5th

PARAMAHANSA YOGANANDA

“The season of failure is the best time for sowing the seeds of success.

“It is not your passing thoughts or brilliant ideas so much as your plain everyday habits that control your life….Live simply. Don’t get caught in the machine of the world— it is too exacting. By the time you get what you are seeking your nerves are gone, the heart is damaged, and the bones are aching. Resolve to develop your spiritual powers more earnestly from now on. Learn the art of right living. If you have joy you have everything,so learn to be glad and contented….Have happiness now.”
― Paramahansa Yogananda

Born: January 5, 1893, Gorakhpur, India, Died: March 7, 1952, Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA
His Beloved Master, Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri sent him to the United States to bring Kriya Yoga to the west. He has two main Self Realization Centers in the U.S., one in Encinitas, Ca., and one in Los Angelos, and many other centers throughout the US and the world.
MAHASAMADHI — Leaving the body as a Realized Being, and entering into the Divine Realm

March 7th is Paramahansa Yogananda’s Mahasamadhi. When he was in Encinitas, Ca. at his beautiful Self Realization Fellowship, he gently let his disciples know that he would soon leave his body. They were so sad! And so Yogananda wrote this poem for them.

When I Take the Vow Of Silence
By Paramahansa Yogananda

When I take the vow of silence
To remain enlocked with my Beloved
In the arms of His everywhereness
I shall be busy listening to His symphony
Of creation’s bliss songs, and beholding hidden
Wondrous visions.
Yet I shall not be oblivious of you all.
I shall mutely watch you
Walking o’er me in the fresh grass-blades
And seeing me in my living leafy presences.
I shall behold you with mothering tenderness
Through every crimson blossom
That wears a blush of love to bring you delight.
I shall caress you with the enfolding breeze
To relieve you worries and fears;
And enwrap you in sun warmth
When the chill of delusive loneliness strays into your heart.
When you gaze at the ocean
You will be looking right at me.
United with my Beloved on the altar of the horizon,
Sky-canopied with silver rays o’er the azure wavy hazy
sanctuary.
I shall not speak except through your reason,
Nor scold except through your conscience.
I shall persuade only through your love
And your heart’s longing to see the Beloved only.
I shall tempt you-but with the sole temptation
To enjoy the Beloved’s love alone.
Forget me if you will, but not my Beloved!
Remembering Him you cannot forget me.

It is a Garden of Paradise right here on Earth. And if you stay for one of the Services, the chanting will elevate your heart and Spirit. The Center in Los Angelos is also very lovely.  Yogananda is beloved throughout the world. If you want to begin to know him, you can read his Autobiography of a Yogi. There are many other of his writings on presence and Divine Love on his website below. He is buried in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Glendale, CA — Web Source

Our Trials

Our Trials

The Beloved Warriors of the Most High must become adept swimmers in the whole of the ocean. Their tests are great; their lives and journeys an open book. All wit- ness their purification, and their trials by fire.

We are shown the tremendous difficulties the Masters, Saints and Prophets of each Sacred path have had to endure, as they were becoming great leaders of their people. We are then shown their life purpose, and their experiences with the Most High. Mostly we tend to forget their enormous difficulties and trials, or to minimize them, as we become blinded by their Light. Yet, their rites of passage are not a footnote to their success, but an integral part of what made these Lovers of Truth change from the ordinary people they were, into the Divine Beings they became—

Siddhartha, the Buddha, went into the world
and experienced the suffering of the common people,
as he wandered for a time alone.

Abraham was tried by fire—tested
with the willing sacrifice of his son, Isaac

Sarah, whose name was first Yiscah, Seer, and then Sarai, One
Who Commands, was Priestess to the Goddess,
yet according to her destiny she became a wife to Abraham,
as the world she knew disappeared.

Moses struggled with who and what he was:
leaving his high rank as Pharaoh’s son,
he experienced the lowest place in his world.

Jesus had to sacrifice his own life for his Calling.

The Dalai Lama, Thich Nhat Hanh, Mother Teresa,
and many other Saints and Prophets,
yielded their place of comfort,
became stripped to their foundations,
before attaining their zeniths.

For the darkness exists and the Light exists,
and all must pass through trials of darkness
on their way to the Light.

And though they be great or small, our difficulties
become the foundation upon which all must climb,
in order to attain Union, with the Most Supreme.

Passion and the Inner Flame

Passion and the Inner Flame

There is passion. Passion raises the Inner Flame.

The Inner Flame is raised into Being at a moment’s notice: It raises and flourishes through our desires, be they physical, intellectual, or Spiritual. And what is the Source of the Holy Flame? It springs from the Divine Essence of Life, and illuminates the whole Universe, and all of our lives.

As the Divine One is infinite Mercy and Compassion, so the Flame is placed within in our hearts and hands, and can be turned toward the positive or the negative. For example, it is this Flame that rushes forth and rises to fuel our anger, and when it is so turned, our passion flares, and we move with unkind words and actions. And it is the same Flame that can be turned to fuel our pursuit of knowledge, and when it is so turned, we become melted and merged, lost with-in our quest for Truth. The Inner Flame also rises when we are in the midst of Beauty, warming our hearts with joy.

Yet as we look Sincerely within, we know with no doubt, that the most beneficent use of the Inner Flame, is when we, seeking Union, open ourselves to Its Presence, and quietly follow, as it rises and raises our whole Being, into the warmest, Light-filled glow, of the Bliss of Love. Then, only then, do we feel complete. Only then can we understand the True purpose of our time on Earth.

The Hunger That Cannot Be Pushed Aside

The Hunger That Cannot Be Pushed Aside

There is a deep, Inner longing constantly dancing with-in each Soul. This longing urges each one to rise, ever upwards, beyond their current abilities. It exists as an under-current, operating ceaselessly in all that we do. This longing has been called, “the hunger that cannot be pushed aside, the thirst which cannot be quenched.”

It is this longing which causes each one to stretch to attain their utmost possibilities, glimmering and shimmering in the mists, upon the horizon of one’s life. It causes one to seek to become the greatest of musicians, and another to seek to become the best farmer, or the best parent they can be. Yet where do these longings come from?

The desire for each one to reach their zenith comes directly from the Inner One, the All-in-All, the Loving One. This is the Voice of the All Knowing, who Guides all Souls to create the dance of their life time—with-in Beauty and Love. This Inner Essence of Life is identical to the Desire residing with-in each seed: Planted deeply in the ground, the Spark of Life awakens and leads each seed to cast off it’s shell—and struggle ever upward, around or through all obstacles it encounters. And, though it has never seen the Light, yet each seed is drawn ever upwards, for no other purpose than it may one day emerge from darkness—and become its absolute, Beauty-filled fullness.

Seen underneath this Wisdom-Light, one may understand, that the whole of humanity, and the whole of the universe, is moving and breathing together, upon the Great Ocean of Life—rising and falling with-in the unseen currents; Ever striving to satisfy, and to bring to life, the highest desires of the Eternal One.

The Soul’s Long  Journey Of Desire

The Soul’s Long Journey Of Desire

What is the ending of the Soul’s long Journey of Desire? Holy Communion with The Most High!

Traveling with all concentration and speed, each Soul reaps the rewards and the fruits that await it:

Amidst a kaleidoscope of tastes, colors, and worldly glitter, developing Souls encounter many forms of passionate desires. Some of these lead to experiences of great Beauty, and yet others lead toward disillusionment and evil. At the end of all such ego-filled PathWays, in the midst of a bitter harvest, finally and thoroughly each comes to know—that their choices have led them to a dark end.

Yet, after all Path-Ways

for a Soul’s growth

have been desired, their fruits tasted,

nothing remains except

a deep Inner longing–

To Become—

Only Love.

==============

A Prayer

May all who are hungry find food.

All who are without shelter find shelter  (on all levels)

All who are suffering find Solace  (may someone come to help them)

All who are without Love, Be Loved.

amen and amen
