When Our Large Head Takes A Back Seat
When we ‘stand our ground’, we most often do so with our large, intellectual head firmly fixed upon our shoulders.
We have all seen such large heads: Some of them are so grandiose, that they cannot even fit inside a big room! When next you see such a big head, take a look at the rest of the body. You will notice a certain posture that matches the big head. The reason for this posture is – that it takes quite a lot of bravado and energy to support all of the weight at the top! And, even though we may not like to admit it, we can feel–and we have known–moments when our own head is expanding–being fed and grown by the rising heat of our egos–that speaks in a loud and clear voice: “I know I am the best (in this room, place, moment.)”
Yet we all know more tender, Heart-full moments, in which we have surrendered our truth, and have chosen to follow a sweeter thought encouraging us to strive to bring forth harmony with our companions.
This choice to yield does not mean that we are to lose our Ideals, on the contrary, it only means relinquishing the ground that one has been claiming to be—THE ONLY possibility—for any certain moment and time.
And this thought of harmony places our own swelling head in the back seat, while our heart makes the journey—toward the front ground of the other. Looking in this Way, we can easily come to see, that under-standing is a choice—first thought, then willed, and then chosen—each moment—by a listening, Compassionate Heart, dedicated to peace.

When the Heart Becomes Open In Prayer
All prayers which are heart-filled, emerge and arrive on wings of Light, into the Holy Realms, and the Ears of the Most High.
During unobstructed Prayer-Union,
with-in the Supreme dimension of Love and Light,
Divine Blessings are showered
Yet the moment one’s mind,
begins to analyze the gift…
the translucent, shimmering state
retracts behind the vibrational curtain
that forever separates this Earthly Realm,
of Beauty, Truth, and Love.

The Beloved Warriors of the Most High must become adept swimmers in the whole of the ocean. Their tests are great; their lives and journeys an open book. All wit- ness their purification, and their trials by fire.
We are shown the tremendous difficulties the Masters, Saints and Prophets of each Sacred path have had to endure, as they were becoming great leaders of their people. We are then shown their life purpose, and their experiences with the Most High. Mostly we tend to forget their enormous difficulties and trials, or to minimize them, as we become blinded by their Light. Yet, their rites of passage are not a footnote to their success, but an integral part of what made these Lovers of Truth change from the ordinary people they were, into the Divine Beings they became—
Siddhartha, the Buddha, went into the world
and experienced the suffering of the common people,
as he wandered for a time alone.
Abraham was tried by fire—tested
with the willing sacrifice of his son, Isaac
Sarah, whose name was first Yiscah, Seer, and then Sarai, One
Who Commands, was Priestess to the Goddess,
yet according to her destiny she became a wife to Abraham,
as the world she knew disappeared.
Moses struggled with who and what he was:
leaving his high rank as Pharaoh’s son,
he experienced the lowest place in his world.
Jesus had to sacrifice his own life for his Calling.
The Dalai Lama, Thich Nhat Hanh, Mother Teresa,
and many other Saints and Prophets,
yielded their place of comfort,
became stripped to their foundations,
before attaining their zeniths.
For the darkness exists and the Light exists,
and all must pass through trials of darkness
on their way to the Light.
And though they be great or small, our difficulties
become the foundation upon which all must climb,
in order to attain Union, with the Most Supreme.
