That Which We Have Called the Divine Source of Love

That Which We Have Called the Divine Source of Love

Is there a different Source of Life Energy that grows wheat, from the Source of Life Energy that grows corn?

Is there a difference in the feelings of love that a Jewish mother has as she first sees her baby, from the feelings of love that an Islamic mother has for her baby? Is there a difference in the feelings for the protection of their families, between a Christian and a Hindu father?

The earlier Epochs tended to see all existence as coming from the One Source of Life, the One Great Spirit, the Holy Mother and Divine Father, the Source of All, the Substance of Love. Soon tribes became aware that the deities that they believed created all life, had different forms and names within neighboring cultures. After warring with them, the names of the deities of the victors became merged with those of the vanquished.

We can observe these evolving names and forms as we watch the Sun Goddess of the early epochs becoming first the wife of the Sun God and then eventually being sent below, to the dark world. Later with the Hebrews and Christians people world-wide came to know and worship God as the only One. Yet in each culture, though the names and forms were different, all of the ancient deities were also known to have originated from ONE nameless Creator — who was known as the Nameless One, The Great Spirit, or the Source of All.

In our Scientific Era we have grown accustomed to looking for differences and distinctions: for example, the naming of each tree, each flower, and further taking all of these life forms apart, trying to find and to name their smallest particles. In this way of taking apart to the tiniest particle, science tries to find the ultimate Source of All.

Yet today science is discovering that there is a life-essence existing in the very center of each life, and also connecting all of the galaxies of the universe. This substance known as the ‘glue’ that holds all of the particles together. It has just been seen as ‘ropes of electrons,’ throughout the universe, and is also found within the cells of our bodies, and the bodies of all of the stars and the planets.

Imagine the surprise in store for scientists when they understand, that this substance that exists in all things, is what the ancient people knew and understood to be the One Source of All….that which they also knew to be, the Divine Source of Love.

Reclaiming Our Child Heart

Reclaiming Our Child Heart

A child’s Heart fully engages in delight: Everything is open, beautiful, good—and filled with wonder.

Listen to the sound of a child’s laughter! How appealing, how disarming! This is life at its best. And yet, as a child encounters life’s trials, spontaneous, healthy expressions and feelings become flattened, as when the air is let out of a balloon.

Even if we wanted to return to our child Heart, we know we could not manage our adult lives immersed within the innocence of youth. For a child moves swiftly through ups and downs—from joy to sorrow and back again. And we must have balance, if we are to live with discretion and wisdom.

Yet instead of a balance between Heart and head, as adults our emotional responses are often so dulled that we cannot enjoy life to its fullest. In fact, our spontaneous responses to beauty and joy seldom rise to meet the moment at hand.

Still the Heart never loses its capacity to rejoice in the natural world, to long for Union with another Heart, and be fulfilled by that Union—

Whenever we are immersed Beauty, or Love
our Heart exalts!

Everything is charged with light
and we are filled with Presence,
Joy and Truth.

“Of course!” we exclaim in wonder…

“Here is the Child-Heart that I long for, throughout

this awe-inspiring life.”

The Only Source

THE ONLY SOURCE
Human Beings live and move and breathe with-in the Ever-Present.

There is no way that anyone can be separated from the One Source of Life —

Through our eyes,
our noses and mouths,

through our ears—
and the pores of our skin,

all that enters ‘us’ emerges again—
returns to the One Life— the All-in-All:

The plants, the animals, our friends and our food,
the sunlight and the air,
have the same Life-Essence flowing through them
as flows through our own being.

For we are all a part of one Living-Breathing heritage—
Birthed and nourished, growing and aging,

and then returning to the Earth, and the Ethers:
Physical to physical; Spirit to Spirit.

And all of these states exist simultaneously, with-in
the One-Love-Light-One-Life-Source, of the Universe.

One Creator, One Breath

One Creator, One Breath

Even though we may desire, or claim ownership of portions of Earth, absolute ownership, and a clear title, always remain in the Hands of the Most High.

Today not only portions of the Earth, but water, plants, animals, and even tiny cells may be bought and sold, patented and privately owned. Yet, there is one thing that belongs to all beings equally: One thing that everyone freely takes, and freely gives to others—our breath—

Our breath we cannot live without,
breath we take, breath we give—

freely received, freely returned
all day, and all night long
all Being, all life breathes.

And all who draw breath
never think of keeping it

hold no thought of hoarding it,

feel no Inner urge to grab
another’s share—

but simply enjoy the Gift.

For we all know without a doubt
that the air we breathe belongs,

as the whole Earth in truth belongs—
not to us

but the Source of All, the All-in-All,
Who eternally creates this Earth

and the Universe,
and all who draw breath therein.

Our Union With Purity

Our Union With Purity

The Innermost state of ‘Union with Purity’ is available to all of humanity, regardless of country, ideology, or religious choice. We all know this is our commonality—the ground wherein all differences cease between the members of our world family:

Our Union with Purity is an experience
no carnival ride can match.

How could anyone be satisfied with what humanity has
created for pastimes,
if they have once experienced a true taste:

Of the sounds of a bubbling brook as it rushes along,
through sun and through shadow, in a dappled-green forest
while we stand—

watching and waiting,
all senses alert—

hoping only for a chance to spy
dashing along the clear, rocky bottom

the quick, freedom flight of a red-spotted trout
as it swiftly swishes by

with no care in the world—
for anything.

And, the instant we see her, all thoughts fly away
as the presence of awe
becomes all

that we know—
of life.
